ELEMENTARY
At Community Christian School, we make it our goal to ensure each student matures in their God-given gifts through a Christ-centered, college prep curriculum and through varied teaching styles appropriate for the student as an individual.
Since all truth is God’s truth, every instructional area reveals God as Creator and Sustainer, and His glory as the ultimate purpose of each area. All instruction is integrated with the Bible teaching the student the value of a Biblical world view. This is the distinctive approach of Christian education.
A solid foundation for academic growth is stimulated by enthusiastic teachers who excel in their given fields. The phonics and accelerated reading program begun in pre-school are carried on through the fifth grade. In the computer lab, students are taught project-based lessons which equip them with skills necessary to excel in our technological world.
A positive classroom motivates the learning process as students master cognitive skills which prepare them for higher level thinking in the secondary levels.
The elementary school participates in many ACSI events Math Olympics, Science Fair, Speech Meet, Spelling Bee, Music Festival, and the Young Author/Illustrator Olympics. Some events are required at certain grade levels. CCS acts as host for the ACSI Regional Elementary Math Olympics for grades 3-6.
